Metta will not collect any personal information about you except when specifically and knowingly provided by you. Examples of such information are name, address, phone number, email address, credit card information and donor registration data. That information gathered from you will be treated as confidential, will be kept securely, and will not be passed on to any third party, except in the circumstances outlined in this policy.

1.2 INFORMATION USE

Generally, we use personal information for the following purposes: administering our charitable activities, providing the products and services you requested, processing your donation payment, monitoring the use of the service, marketing and promotional efforts, improving our content, customizing our site’s content, layout, services and for other lawful purposes. Such usage improves our website and tailors it to meet your needs. Personally identifiable information or business information will not be shared with parties except as required by law.

When you donate, purchase or sign up with us you authorise us to store your details on our database and you will receive information on Metta’s events, activities and report backs as to who has benefited from the money raised and acknowledgements.

As part of our operations we may gather certain types of information about the users of our sites:
Aggregated data is generated by our systems as they track traffic through our sites. This information does not identify you personally and is not linked to the personally identifiable information that you may have provided.

For fundraising events, please refer to our Social Media sites for upcoming events, photos will be taken and broadcast for publicity use on MWA’s publicity channels.

1.4 PAYMENT SECURITY

If you make a donation or purchase a product online from us we do not receive or hold your credit card details. All of our payment processing is directed through MCpayment. Payment information is securely entered and processed and is not seen by us at any stage in the transaction. The payment page is secured by – Secure Socket Layer- (SSL) that protects your data transmitted on the internet. Once the payment is completed by MCPayment you will be redirected to our website and you will receive a payment confirmation email sent to your email address.

1.5 TYPES OF DONATION

There are 2 types of donation

– One-time Donation
– Monthly Donation

The Bank is instructed to process the instructions of Metta to debit their account.

The Bank is able to reject Metta debit instruction if account does not have sufficient funds and charge the donor a fee for this.

The Bank is also able to allow the debit even if this results in and overdraft on the account and impose charges accordingly. This authorisation will remain in force until:

– the Bank’s written notice sent to the addresss last know to the Bank
– upon the Bank’s receipt of our written revocation
– upon the Bank’s receipt of the notice of expiry from the BO

1.6 OPTING IN AND OPTING OUT

You will always have the option to opt in to receiving certain communications and to opt out of those communications at any stage.

1.7 PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION OFFICER

MWA has a group of Personal Data Protection Officers to ensure that we comply with the Personal Data Protection Act of Singapore. Each of our core services has 1 data protection officer.

2. Cancellation Policy

A. Mode of Payment: Full payment via Credit Card for online ordering, Cash or Cheques payable to MVA-Café” for retail and/or email ordering at least 3 days in advance to guarantee the order.

B. Any amendment(s) or cancellation(s), 72 hours advance notice is required. There will be a 100% surcharge is applicable for cancellation of order in less than 72 hours. Amount paid is non-refundable.

C. Metta Cafe reserves the right to substitute any decorative item(s) that is/are of equivalent or higher value, depending on stock availability.

D. Metta Cafe collects particulars & contact information reflected in this email query/order for the purpose of marketing & promotional efforts. If you do not wish to be included for the mailing list, please inform our staff, and we will ensure your exclusion.
